Physician Opportunities - Pediatrician
We are excited to introduce a new Pediatric opportunity in Northwestern Pennsylvania at Your Pediatric Connection, a part of the Hamot Physician Network. We are seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatricians to join our practice, as Hamot Medical Center is currently investing $40 million in a Women’s Hospital scheduled to open in early 2011 which will result in doubling the number of births at Hamot and require increased Pediatric staff.
Hamot Medical Center, a 351-bed non-profit, tertiary care teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Hamot has been recognized year after year for its emphasis on quality care and technological advancement; our practice has fully implemented electronic medical records. In addition, Hamot is the academic training hospital for the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Medical Staff has over 400 physicians, including five subspecialties of pediatrics. Hamot has residency training programs in Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology and Emergency Medicine.
Your Pediatric Connection is the only pediatric practice within the Hamot Physician Network, which includes 45 primary care physicians and over 60 specialists. We currently employ four Board Certified Pediatricians, one Nurse Practitioner and one Physician Assistant and are looking for up to two additional full-time physicians in preparation for our expansion of services. Our patient population is diverse, and while we practice both inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, the Cesarean sections at Hamot are attended by a neonatologist or neonatal nurse practitioner.
The practice has two office locations. One is conveniently located across the street from the medical center. This office practices in- and outpatient pediatrics. The second location, which focuses on outpatient only, is located in west Erie. Both locations have fully implemented electronic medical records.
