Advanced 12 Lead EKG
The 12 Lead EKG can provide a wealth of information to health care providers. As heart disease continues to be the number one killer of both men and women, a complete understanding of 12 lead EKGs can be vital for the health-care provider. The intended audience for this course is nurses and other health-care providers.
This 4 hour session will review EKG changes associated with hypertrophy, pericarditis, PE, COPD, select drugs, electrolytes, etc.; differentiate between bundle branch blocks and fasicular blocks; differentiate between supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia.

Pre-Requisites
Participants should have completed the Basic EKG Interpretation course offered at Hamot or an equivalent course from another organization before taking this course

Continuing Education Contact Hours
Hamot Medical Center is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Participants will be awarded 3.8 contact hours. You must attend the entire program in order to receive credit. Accreditation refers to recognition of continuing nursing education activities only and does not imply Commission on Accreditation approval or endorsement of any commercial product.
