Medical Students
Student Electives
Hamot Medical Center offers a wide range of elective rotations. We provide medical students with clinically oriented experiences in a variety of patient care settings. While your elective rotations will have a community hospital focus, you will have the added perspective of Hamot’s tertiary referral service. To augment your rotations, you will be required to attend conferences, clinics and rounds which are pertinent to each elective.
While at Hamot, you will also have the opportunity to participate in daily teaching rounds and discussions with emergency medicine, orthopaedic, neurology and clinical pharmacy residents. In addition, you will have access to Hamot’s medical library.
Limited housing is available to out-of-town students.
