Hamot Medical Center School of Anesthesia Disaster and Business Continuity Plan
Purpose
The purpose of this plan is to identify and communicate to the school's students and faculty actions to be taken during any disaster involving the hospital, school or university.
Second
Is to provide preparedness activities to manage the effects of emergencies or disasters should one occur. The school's disaster plan is an "all-hazards" plan that will guide students and faculty through any type of disaster.

Preparedness
If a disaster occurs the students and faculty will communicate using:
Land Lines—primary source
Cell phone—call or text message
Beeper—text message
Wireless internet—web site
Media
If you receive a message that a disaster has occurred involving Hamot or Gannon remain where you are until further notification. No anesthesia classes will be conducted.
If at a clinical site, follow their disaster plan. If at Gannon follow their disaster plan. If trapped at a clinical site make every effort to contact the school.
