V. James Fiorenzo, RPh, MBA
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, UPMC Hamot
V. James Fiorenzo serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer at UPMC Hamot. In these capacities, he has primary oversight for all of UPMC Hamot's service lines including business relationships, as well as responsibility for UPMC Hamot's staff and affiliated physicians in providing high-quality, efficient, cost-effective, state-of-the-art care. He continues to develop strategies to enhance the growth and range of services available to patients in the region and to assess emerging technologies to maintain the level of care patients have come to expect from UPMC Hamot. Prior to becoming executive vice president and COO, Mr. Fiorenzo served as the senior vice president of Strategic and Support Services and the president of Regional Health Services Inc.
Mr. Fiorenzo has also served as the president of Great Lakes Home Healthcare Services and Bayside Pharmacy & Physician Supply. Having served in the Hamot system for more than 30 years, Mr. Fiorenzo began his career at Hamot as a staff pharmacist in 1975.
Mr. Fiorenzo graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and earned an MBA in 1990 from Gannon University.
