B. Scott Kern

B. Scott Kern is the vice president, general counsel for C. A. Curtze Co., a full line wholesale food service distributor, in Erie, Pa. Attorney Kern also serves as vice president, general counsel at Northern Frozen Foods Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, managing member of Jacobstein Food Service in Rochester, N.Y., vice president, general counsel, International Market Brands, and vice president, general counsel, Salespro Technologies Inc., in Erie. In the early 1990s, Attorney Kern practiced law at the Knox Law Firm in Erie.
He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1986, his JD from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990, and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990.
Attorney Kern is the chair of the UPMC Hamot Board of Directors and a member of the UPMC Executive Committee. He also serves on the UPMC Hamot Board Executive Committee and the Board Quality Improvement Committee. Attorney Kern has served on the Board of Directors of the Regional Cancer Center, is past chair of the American Red Cross, a former member of Asbury Woods campaign cabinet, and is a member of the Board of Corporators of the Erie Cemetery Association.
