Timeline

September 2007
The core and shell construction are well underway. An actual view of the project from our ProjectCam is shown on the Building Projects home page. The ProjectCam image updates every 30 minutes.

The general contractor is currently in the process of preparing the site for the three storey addition to the existing structure. Demolition of the second floor roof and building exterior is complete and the original steel columns have been prepared for erection of the steel frame for the upper three floors. There is an additional patient elevator included in the project and the two-storey deep elevator pit has been dug and reinforced with concrete. The fabricated structural steel delivery is expected during October, thanks to pre-ordering of the raw materials that occurred many months ago. The project is running on schedule and completion is planned by spring, 2010.

August 2007
Ground breaking ceremony takes place on the site.

July 2007
Perry Construction Group, Inc. chosen as the general contractor on the project.

June 2007
Design development and architectural programming of interior spaces and process flow with clinical, administrative and services staff. Validation of capacities with obstetric and gynecological physician leaders.

May 2007
Refinement of schematic design. Steel mill order submitted by Amthor Steel.

April 2007
Construction drawings underway.

March 2007
Site preparation continues. Completion of interior demolition on the former Hamot Resource Center Building.

January 2007
Selection of architect and engineering team based on bid submissions and concept presentations that were made on January 15, 16 and 17, 2007.
